Cho Dan

Born in 2002, I’m an avid Tang Soo Do enthusiast. Presently, I work at Dairy Queen and am preparing for my high school graduation. I have been attending Pocono Tang Soo Do since early 2016. In my spare time, I enjoy drawing portraits, reading fantasy books, playing board games, and watching Little House on the Prairie, Walker Texas Ranger, and The Andy Griffith Show. I’m a senior at PAcyber, where I take seven classes, and am a member of the French Club and the Art Club. Additionally, I am a member of the National Honor Society, the National French Honor Society, and the National Art Honor Society.
Pocono Tang Soo Do has changed me in so many positive ways. It is an amazing feeling to be a small part of a huge association. To me, it’s very interesting and eye-opening to learn about the art of Tang Soo Do. My favorite aspect of Tang Soo Do is that it gives me the opportunity to improve myself mentally, physically, psychologically, and socially. I know that as long as I put effort in, I will be inspired by those around me to continuously improve and remain open to learning new and exciting things each time I attend class.
One of my many martial arts passions is sparring. I enjoy it because I get a chance to take advantage of vital points, use defense techniques I have learned in class, and better learn how to defend myself. Sparring is realistic and pressure-building, and being able to practice sparring helps to build my strength and confidence.
